This site was created by Joris Suppers as part of his PhD research at The Univeristy of Waikato.
The site provides a tool for users to simply see the effects on power output from solar panels when adjusting their solar panels orientation.
The output is an estimatation of power output, and by no means should it be considerd the real output. However it is a good estimate..
This tool uses real Radiation, Wind Speed and Dry-bulb temperature which is taken from The National Climate Database (http://cliflo.niwa.co.nz/).
The Modules and Inverters are taken from the Sandia National Labs database, available from: https://sam.nrel.gov/.
The calculations used are based on the work by Sandia National Labs and PVPMC, and the open source project. from: https://pvpmc.sandia.gov/.
I have written a more in-depth report on how I calculate the output: Click Here to Download
